Greg Smith, Senior Strategy Consultant, Strategy & ExecutionGreg brings over 30 years of experience in the biopharmaceutical, healthcare informatics, and specialty pharmacy industries to The Loran Group. He has extensive experience in the development of real world evidence required to demonstrate value for health care decision makers as well as expertise in clinical and outcomes endpoint assessments focused on the needs of payers and health technology agencies.

Before joining Loran, Greg founded Velocita Consulting focusing on helping life science companies develop and execute strategies to generate and communicate evidence of value of their products to payers, patients and clinicians. At Velocita he lead engagements for projects including: Global market access considerations for new product launches; Pricing strategy for an early phase biopharmaceutical to treat a rare disease; Advising third party database and analytics companies on strategies for the pharmaceutical market.

A unique aspect of Greg’s background is that as a senior executive in business and a retired Colonel in the US Marine Corps, he has significant experience in recruiting, developing and leading individuals and teams in organizations ranging from small startups to large-cap multinationals.

Greg received a BA degree in Political Science (International Relations) from the University of Florida in the olden days. He is also a graduate of several academic programs in the health economics and outcomes research fields as well as senior military officer continuing education programs in leadership, strategy and policy. Greg is a member of RWB, a veteran’s support organization and the American Society of Clinical Oncology. He currently resides in the greater Philadelphia area.
